Spring Bucket List

Spring Bucket List

The Beatles were onto something when they sang “It’s been a long, cold, lonely, winter.” this past winter has been pretty garbage. Well, I don’t want to dwell on it too much winter felt like it went on forever and was mostly bleak and awful. Truly the events took their toll on me and I feel really low. For the first time in my life, I want to make the most of Spring. What better time to refresh than spring? Something about the world coming to life again is speaking to my soul this year. To make the most of the Spring season I’ve made up a bucket list of things I want to do.

This list is really just a reminder to me to take time to enjoy life and to take time for the good stuff. However, it’s not to put pressure on me to accomplish things. I want to feel grounded and present in my life.

I’m so excited for this season! I tried to include a mix of frivolous things as well as practical helpful things. I want to have my mind and my life refreshed for summer. Here’s my list as it stands now.

  • PicNic
  • Wildflower Walk
  • Lake Walk
  • Buy A Bouquet
  • Spring Clean
  • Star Gazing
  • De-Clutter Shoes
  • Try A Spring Recipe
  • Sew A Spring Recipe
  • Spring Manicure

I may add or edit this list as things go along but I’m happy with this as a starting point. I might update my accomplishments as I go but I’m not committing to that at this moment.

Already Making Progress

Spring Bucket list Lake walk

Not one to wait on ceremony I’ve already completed one thing off my list and I’m halfway through another! Earlier this week I went on a lake walk with my parents. It’s still the early days of Spring but the walk was still lovely. There were a few flowers blooming and the sun was shining. My heart was very happy. We walked all around Lafarge Lake in Coquitlam.

I somewhat un-understandingly summoned up all the energy and motivation to do a deep spring clean of my room, including scrubbing walls and moving around furniture. It’s just about done now but I’m still working out a few things.

Do you guys have Spring bucket lists? I’d love to know what’s on yours!

Happy Spring! Get out there and enjoy all the beautiful parts of being alive on this planet.
